Our Mission Tarrant Area Food Bank works to eliminate hunger in Fort Worth, Texas and 13 surrounding counties by providing food, education and other resources to a network of hunger-relief charities and their communities. Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) is a regional, nonprofit distributor of surplus, donated food and non-food products. As a partner of America's Second Harvest, we serve 300 nonprofit hunger-relief and social service agencies and programs in the Fort Worth/Dallas area of north Texas. Our network of agencies feeds children, the elderly, the severely disabled, victims of AIDS and other chronic diseases, victims of abuse, the working poor and the unemployed. Agency Network Each month, on average, the network distributes food to 35,000 households and serves more than 500,000 meals and snacks. Our network of local nonprofit agencies serves Fort Worth and other communities spread over 13 counties, an area larger than the state of Vermont. The counties served are Bosque, Cooke, Denton, Erath, Hamilton, Hill, Hood, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell, Tarrant, and Wise. Contact Us
